Helping Lancia customers find the right car

Lancia is Italy's leading car brand for women. They were looking to create a digital experience to help customers choose a car to match their lifestyle.

I was the lead visual designer on this project. I worked closely with the UX lead to deliver the concept and final designs.

The challenge

Lancia tasked us with creating a minisite to showcase cars in a way that would speak to their customers. They wanted something different from standard, highly-technical car configurators. They wanted something for a majority female target market – something that would make the process of finding the perfect car enjoyable.

The solution

A quiz with questions based around the customers’ daily routine/lifestyle to identify which configurations suited them best.

I worked closely with a UX designer to map out a handful of Q&A templates.

The client gave me license to push that brand further. They wanted something that looked a bit more fresh and modern. To achieve this, I incorporated lots of white space, fashion editorial-inspired layouts with overlapping text and images, and oversize text for section titles.
